SMS / Text Consent

How we plan to handle text messages, opt-in, and opt-out.

Effective Date: June 29, 2026 · Last Updated: June 29, 2026 · Policy v1.0 · Terms v1.0

Beta: TrueNotch Pro™ is currently in beta. Some features may be tested with demo data before public launch. Payment processing, SMS messaging, call recording, automated dialing, and third-party phone integrations are not enabled.

This page is provided for transparency and operational planning. Final legal terms should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before public launch.

Current status

SMS messaging is not enabled. No SMS provider (Twilio, OpenPhone, GoHighLevel, etc.) is connected.

Required consent capture (before SMS is enabled)

When SMS is activated, the system must capture and store:

  • Phone number
  • Consent source (intake form, agent-recorded verbal consent, web form)
  • Consent timestamp
  • Message type consented to (transactional, follow-up, appointment, estimate)
  • Contractor client associated with the consent
  • Opt-out status and timestamp
  • Do-not-text flag

Suggested intake checkbox

"Customer gave permission to receive text messages about this service request, follow-up, appointment, or estimate."

Opt-out handling

Customers may opt out of texts at any time using reasonable opt-out language such as STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE, or by contacting the business directly. Opt-outs must be honored promptly and recorded in the suppression list.

No marketing texts without consent

No marketing or promotional texts will be sent without proper documented consent. Transactional messages (appointment confirmation, follow-up about a specific job) may be sent only where consent has been captured.

Frequency and rates

Message frequency depends on the type of service request. Standard message and data rates may apply from the recipient's carrier.

Not legal advice. The current release template language should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before public launch or pilot use.
