The Youth Continuum

Young people do not experience their decisions in one moment. There is the choice, and there is everything that comes after it. Choice Labz™ builds for both halves.

Grades 6 to 12, prevention

Before the Consequence™

Decision practice before a consequential choice. Young people work through realistic moments and see where each path tends to lead while the decision is still theirs to make.

Grades 6 to 12, response and re-entry

After the Consequence™

For after a decision has already happened. Accountability, understanding impact, support, repair, re-entry, and a real next opportunity.

What the prevention half looks like

This is the narrated introduction to Before the Consequence™. It runs about a minute, plays only when you start it, and carries captions in English and Spanish plus a full transcript.

Narration, captions, and the transcript follow the language you select above.

Where prevention ends and response begins

Before the Consequence™ works while the decision is still open. A student can try a path, see where it tends to lead, and back out before anything is real.

After the Consequence™ starts at a harder place. Something already happened. There is a suspension, a referral, a citation, a lost job, or a family that is not sure what to say. That is the moment where most programs go quiet, and it is the moment where a young person decides what the event means about them.

The other branch

Choice Labz™ Family & Mediation™ serves parents, caregivers, and family professionals. Four pathways covering separation, ongoing co-parenting, blended family transitions, and professional practice. See the family pathways.
