AI and human judgment
Choice Labz™'s family experience is authored, fictional decision practice. Where any assistive technology appears in responsible family-serving products, these are the principles we hold it to.
Our principles
Detection is not determination
Noticing that a situation may touch a sensitive topic is not a finding about any person. The platform stops and points to humans; it never adjudicates.
Assistance, never authority
Technology can support reflection and practice. It does not diagnose, evaluate custody, assess credibility, or make legal or clinical findings.
Humans hold high-stakes judgment
Mediators, attorneys, clinicians, advocates, and courts remain the decision makers in their domains. Choice Labz™ does not replace any of them.
Capability creates responsibility
The more a system could infer, the more restraint it owes. We design for the minimum inference necessary, not the maximum possible.
Bias and context matter
Communication style, dialect, disability, and neurodivergence are not risk signals. False certainty harms families, so the product avoids scoring entirely.
What this means in practice
- No risk scores, no cooperation ratings, no behavioral profiles, ever.
- No monitoring of participant disclosures. The simulation is decision practice, not a disclosure channel.
- When a scenario touches safety, the simulation stops and routes to qualified human support.
- Internal methods stay internal; public copy explains commitments, not proprietary mechanics.
