Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how TradeAnchor Desk collects, uses, and protects information. It is maintained by the TradeAnchor team and is written in plain English.
1. Who We Are
TradeAnchor Desk is a self-service business workflow app for small contractors. The contractor owner uses TradeAnchor Desk to manage their own leads, customers, follow-ups, estimates, job statuses, business setup, notes, and workflow activity. This policy covers the TradeAnchor Desk web application only.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. Owner name, email address, business name, password / authentication status, and assigned role.
Business profile information. Trade type, services offered, services not offered, service area, business hours, availability, emergency rules, estimate rules, and notification preferences.
Lead and customer information you enter. Customer name, phone, email, service address or service location, service request details, internal notes, urgency, current status, and follow-up needs.
Estimate information. Estimate status, estimate notes, job status, internal follow-up records.
App activity. Dashboard activity, status updates, notes you create, task creation, estimate updates, and customer profile activity.
Support requests. Your name, email, topic, and message when you contact support.
Device and browser information. Basic technical data used for app security, troubleshooting, and performance - for example browser user-agent and approximate timestamps.
3. Information We Do Not Collect in the beta
- The does not process real payments. No payment processing is connected in the current beta.
- The does not collect credit card or banking information.
- The does not send real SMS or text messages. No real SMS messages are sent in the current beta.
- The does not record phone calls. No call recording is enabled in the current beta.
- The does not process subscription billing. No subscription billing is processed in the current beta.
- The does not provide background checks, credit checks, insurance quotes, legal filings, licensing filings, or tax filings.
Users should not enter Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, unrelated medical details, or unrelated sensitive personal information into any field.
If any of these features is activated in a future release, the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, user consent language, and compliance workflows must be updated before that feature is enabled.
4. How We Use Information
- To operate the TradeAnchor Desk application.
- To organize your leads, customers, follow-ups, estimates, and workflow.
- To show dashboards, recent activity, and history.
- To provide account support and respond to questions.
- To improve app usability, performance, and security.
- To maintain records needed for business operations and backups.
- To respond to data requests (access, export, correction, deletion, closure).
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal Basis / Permission
The contractor owner is responsible for having a lawful business reason and any required permission to enter customer information into the app. If your jurisdiction requires customer notice or consent before recording a name, address, phone number, or service request, you are responsible for obtaining that notice or consent.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be shared with:
- Service providers needed to operate the app (for example hosting, database, authentication, error monitoring).
- Authorized account users on the same account, if team features are added later.
- Legal or government authorities when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
- Security or fraud-prevention providers when reasonably needed to protect the app and its users.
7. Data Retention
Data is retained while the account is active and as needed for business records, security, backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. You may request deletion of your information at any time. Some information may be retained where legally required or technically necessary (for example, security logs and backup snapshots).
Beta and unpaid accounts: beta access is free and no account is moved to read-only for non-payment during the beta. If an account later ends without a paid plan, it moves to read-only. We do not delete your leads, customers, tasks, or estimates at that point, and you keep access to view and export them. We have not set a fixed automatic deletion period for read-only accounts. If we adopt one, we will update this policy and notify account owners by email before it takes effect. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time through the data request form.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information, including role-based access controls and database row-level security to keep contractor accounts separate. No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, using a strong unique password, and not sharing your account.
9. Breach Notification
If a security incident affects personal information in a way that requires notice, we will review the applicable law and notify affected users as legally required. Where applicable, we will follow Missouri breach notification obligations (Mo. Rev. Stat. § 407.1500) and any other state or federal notification requirements that apply.
10. Your Choices and Data Rights
You may request:
- Access to a copy of your information.
- Correction of information that is wrong.
- Export of your information.
- Deletion of your information.
- Account closure.
- Withdrawal of consent where applicable.

11. Children's Privacy
TradeAnchor Desk is a business tool for contractors. It is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the Last Updated date at the top of the page. If a future release activates SMS, call recording, payment processing, or any other new data-handling feature, this policy will be updated before that feature is enabled.
